SW EKS DATA SERVICE (Order no. 8163316)

Description

Product description

In EKS applications in the PLC world, data synchronization or data retrieval from a central database is not usually established today. This means that the dates are almost always read decentrally from the Electronic-Key and then processed individually in the PLC.

In this case, the access information is transported exclusively via the Electronic-Key. Many EKS operators want to synchronize data from the PLC world with EKM data in the PC world.

The key issue here is the desire to be able to lock Electronic-Keys centrally and retrieve further dates if necessary. The Electronic Key-Manager (EKM) EKM database content is exported to a universally usable file in CSV format in the PC environment. In this EKM CSV export file, a lock indicator can be evaluated after the serial number (KeyID) of the key, which is set to the value '1' as soon as the key is locked. Other data elements assigned to the key serial number can also be retrieved. These data elements vary depending on the application.

If an Electronic-Key is placed, a request is sent from the EKS Data Service PLC to the EKS Data Service PC. The EKS Data Service PC uses the KeyID to search for the entry in the EKM CSV export file and sends the dates back to the EKS Data Service PLC. The dates are then available to the user for further processing.

The requested dates are also stored in an emergency memory. If the connector to the PC is interrupted, the dates of previously placed keys are loaded from the emergency operation strategy memory. The emergency strategy memory contains the last maximum of 100 key data (the size of the emergency memory can be adjusted).
