Non-Contact Safety Switches

Non-contact safety switches are interlocking devices that are designed to protect people and machines. Compared with electromechanical safety switches, they are used if: a high level of protection against tampering much be achieved, extremely hygienic environmental conditions are required (e.g. in the food industry), a precise door guide is not possible, machine doors are subjected to heavy vibration, a high safety category is stipulated during the risk analysis.

Coded Magnet switches

Non-contact safety switches that use coded magnets to close contacts.

CMS-E-AR, CMS-E-DR:

Non-contact systems that allow for the connection of a maximum of 30 read heads.

CMS-E-AR module can achieve safety category 3 using 1 to 2 read heads and safety category 2 using 3 to 30 read heads.

CMS-E-DR module can achieve safety category 2 using 1 to 2 read heads and safety category 1 using 3 to 30 read heads.

CMS-E-BR, CMS-E-ER, CMS-E-FR:

Non-contact systems that allow for up to 30 read heads to be attached. Have door monitoring and feedback capabilities.

CMS-E-BR module can achieve safety category 3 using 1 to 4 read heads.

CMS-E-ER module can achieve safety category 4 using 1 read head and safety category 3 using 2 to 30 read heads.

CMS-E-FR module can achieve safety category 4 using 1 read head and safety category 3 using 2 to 30 read heads. This module also has 6 monitoring outputs.

RFID Coded switches

Non-contact safety switches that use uniquely coded transponders to determine safe states.

CES-AR-AES-12

Evaluation unit allows for 12 read heads, Unicode or Multicode with individual switch status outputs

Unicode (Individual)

CES-AZ-AES-01B:

Evaluation unit allows for 1 read head and can achieve safety category 4.

CES-AZ-AES-02B:

Evaluation unit allows for 2 read heads and can achieve safety category 4.

CES-AZ-AES-04B:

Evaluation unit allows for 4 read heads and can achieve safety category 4.

Multicode (Universal)

CES-AZ-UES-01B:

Evaluation modules that allows for 1 read head and can achieve safety category 4.

CES-AZ-UES-02B:

Evaluation modules that allows for 2 read heads and can achieve safety category 4.

CES-AZ-UES-04B:

Evaluation modules that allows for 4 read heads and can achieve safety category 4.

Read head and Actuator:

CES read head and actuator:

Non-contact transponder coding read heads and actuators which are used in conjunction with the evaluation modules.

CES-A-LSP read head and actuator:

Non-contact transponder coding read heads and actuators the fit in extrusion which are used in conjunction with the evaluation modules.

Read heads with integrated evaluation:

CES-A-C5E and CES-A-C5H:

Read head with integrated evaluation. 2 safety outputs and 1 monitoring output are available.

CES-AR C:

Evaluation and read head in one that is suitable for systems on which a large number of safety doors need monitoring. Up to 20 safety switches can be connected in series.

CES-A-S5H:

Evaluation unit and read head in one housing with 2 safety outputs. 14 different position actuators and 1 safety actuator can be detected. 4 binary outputs indicate the actuator number.

CES-AH:

Read Head with integrated evaluation and high current outputs. Up to 4A can be switched directly.

CES-AP Safety Switch:

These systems feature an inductive read head with integrated evaluation unit and a digitally coded actuator.

Separate actuator with guard locking:

CEM:

Non-contact unit that has a digitally coded actuator with locking electromagnet built into housing. An evaluation unit is required to complete the system.

CEM with Adjustable Adhesive Force:

Non-contact unit that has a digitally coded actuator with adjustable electromagnet built into the read head housing. An evaluation unit is required to complete the system.

CET-AX:

Non-contact read head with guard locking and guard lock monitoring. An evaluation unit is required to complete the system.

CET-AR:

Features an inductive read head with integral evaluation unit, and a digitally coded actuator. Up to 20 safety switches can be connected in series.
